日本における時間と速度の価値
By: Ali Syarief 日本は時間と正確さを非常に大切にする国として知られています。それは日常生活だけでなく、正確さで有名な新幹線を含む交通システムにも当てはまります。私は、日本では時間と速度が文字通り「お金」であることを身をもって体験しました。 日本に初めて足を踏み入れたとき、大阪から東京へ移動しなければなりませんでした。私は意気揚々と駅に向かい、新幹線に乗る準備をしていました。ホームに到着すると、すでに新幹線が停車していました。特に気にせず、「東京行きだから問題ないだろう」と考え、すぐに乗り込みました。 しかし、現実は甘くありませんでした。車掌が切符を確認すると、「追加で3,000円支払ってください」と言われたのです。困惑した私は、「なぜ追加料金が必要なのですか？この新幹線は東京行きですよね？」と尋ねました。車掌は冷静に答えました。「はい、東京行きですが、お客様は違う列車に乗っています。これは”のぞみ”新幹線で、より早く東京に到着します。」 日本では、移動時間の違いが料金に反映されます。”のぞみ”新幹線は、”ひかり”や”こだま”よりも停車駅が少なく、最速で東京に到着します。私は、より時間のかかる列車の切符を持っていたため、速度の違いによる差額を支払う必要があったのです。速度にはそれ相応の価値がある、ということを身をもって知りました。 しかし、驚きはそれだけでは終わりませんでした。予定よりも早く東京に着いたものの、私を迎えに来る人は、あらかじめ決められた時間通りにしか来ませんでした。日本では、時間の正確さが非常に重視され、早く到着してもスケジュール通りでなければ意味がないのです。 この経験から、日本において時間とは単なる数字ではなく、厳格に守られるシステムの一部であることを学びました。交通機関だけでなく、仕事や日常生活においても、正確な時間管理が徹底されています。時間に対して柔軟な考え方を持つインドネシア人にとって、最初は戸惑うかもしれませんが、その一方で、日本社会の効率性の高さを実感することができます。 日本では、時間はまさに「お金」であり、速度にはそれに見合った価値があるのです。
