Ali Sharief from Indonesia ๐ฎ๐ฉ has written an insightful book titled “Why Japan Matters.” The Japanese translation is “Why is Japan Important?”โIsn’t it!? ๐ธ
Mr. Ali first set foot in Japan over 15 years ago, gaining valuable insights through various trainings and cultural immersions sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry. His passion for cross-cultural exchange was further amplified when he connected with LEX Hippo, a cultural exchange program. Together, they initiated the first “Snow School,” bringing over 40 young Indonesians to experience the beauty of Japan firsthand. Since then, Mr. Ali has led numerous cultural exchange visits, even experiencing the warmth of Japanese homestays with LEX Hippo members.
These diverse and enriching experiences inspired the founding of the “Cross Culture Institute” in Indonesia, an organization dedicated to fostering cultural understanding between nations. In his book, Ali delves into “the Japanese way of living,” drawing on his own personal and professional interactions, particularly the deep connections formed through LEX Hippo.
Although written in English, “Why Japan Matters” aspires to find a Japanese publisher in the near future, making it accessible to a wider audience. This book is a must-read for anyone curious about the cultural essence of Japan! Stay tuned for more updates when the book is officially published! ๐๐
